Karnataka's Coorg Coffee Plantation tour
The Coffee lover in us always wonders how so many varieties of coffee are made? What if you overheat it? What other fascinating things are we missing? Well, you are now at the place where coffee grows; you can muse about all these things with a cup of aromatic coffee brewed from freshly roasted coffee seeds.

Heaven under the clouds

The stunning scenic beauty of various shades of green rolled as far as you can see amongst the mountain range which stands there as the guardians looking over the city from above the clouds, beautiful waterfalls and pleasant weather for all seasons. This mesmerizing beauty is found in Karnataka state, known as the district of Kodagu (also called Coorg). Surrounded by hill stations, Coorg is tourists' favorite destination.

Usually, Karnataka is known for its regal heritage, cultural grandeur, and artistic glamour, but infinite plantations, farms, orchards, and estates also exist. Among this greenery lies cottages and resorts developed by the locals as another source of income. Don't get fooled by the pictures you will see on the internet. These cottages are much more beautiful than they seem in pictures. It's astonishing how locals have showcased their creativity to create a much more pleasant experience for the tourist apart from the glorious natural world.

Every morning you wake up to this foggy beginning with greenery all around you, inhaling nature's fragrance filled with a hint of spice. That spiciness comes from intercropping with spices like cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and most importantly, pepper growing in the vicinity. The weather and soil are the perfect condition for coffee plantations to grow, and it is also perfect for us humans. The coffee leaves are a major source of oxygen. The coffee fruits are handpicked once they are fully ripped. You will find three varieties of coffee - Arabica, Robusta, Kaveri.

Scotland of India

Coorg is known as the "Scotland of India”. Apart from plantations, with its misty climate and hill station environment, there are several other natural wonders around these emerald forests.

You can do some soul searching at Bylakuppe, India's second-largest Tibetan settlement, or you can let out that kid inside you. Abbey Falls, the epitome of beauty, the Kaveri River, cascades down the rock, giving it the form of the stunning falls. The adventure seeker in you can indulge in whitewater rafting in this turbulent river to enjoy. You can do a bit of trekking to see the view that you will never forget at Raja's seat. Here you can witness a glorious sunset with a panoramic view of the surrounding region of green valleys, towering hills, and paddy fields.

There is something very thriving and rich in the misty air of Coorg that reawakens your soul and fills your heart with contentment!
